a short trip from my hometown Örnsköldsvik to Karlstad

This was my first longer bike ride and I was quite inexperienced when it came to what kind of packing I needed.
The bicycle trip took me, included a few days in my sister in her summerhouse in Arbrå and two rest days in Karlstad,10 days. Then I jumped on the train home to Örnsköldsvik.

This journey gave a taste to continue next summer and a longer trip was already in my mind

The High Coast Bridge is a suspension bridge crossing the mouth of the river Ångermanälven near Veda, on the border between the Härnösand and Kramfors of Ångermanland in northern Sweden.

It is (as of 2016) the third longest suspension bridge in Scandinavia (after the Great Belt Fixed Link in Denmark and Hardanger Bridge in Norway), the fourth longest in Europe, and the 16th longest of the world.

Close to the bridge there is an nice hotel with restaurant and of course I stoped for a coffe break

After three days I stoped at my Lovely sister and her husbands cabin in Iste,  a small village just outside Arbrå.

I stayed for two days and enjoyned my time.

The summers in Sweden are short so you take every chance to eat outside in the garden and just feel good.

A good glass of red wine is never wrong

Nerdy info. My sister Christine is a hell of a good chef.

Cheers

Voxnan is a river in Hälsingland, Sweden. The weather is still very good, not too hot or cold which is perfect if you ride a bike.

The heat, it is quite easy to maintain, only hands and feet are most exposed

Nils Ferlin is  famous poet and lyricst lived and worked in Filipstad.

Filipstad is located in a valley between Lake Lersjön and Daglösen. Between these, Skillerälven flows through the center, past the Nils Ferlin statue at Stora torget (Big Square)

The town is quite small but cozy

If it was easy to cycle into Filipstad, descents for a couple km,  it was much, much tougher out of town, ascents for 4 km
